J. Scott Parks

Business Manager, Financial Secretary/Treasurer

Scott Parks was elected as Business Manager, Financial Secretary/ Treasurer of Sheet Metal Workers Local 20 in July 2010, and re-elected to this position in July 2013.

Scott was born on in Indianapolis, and is married to his wife Susan. Scott attended Ben Davis High School, as well as taken various classes at I.U.P.U.I., and has a degree in Sheet Metal Technology from Ivy Technical Institute.

President

Scott William Koning was elected as Executive Board Member for the Lafayette Area on July 10, 2010, after serving this position as an appointee from July 11, 2009. He was born in Lafayette, Indiana. He is married to wife, Carol, and they have two children, Megan and Justin. Scott graduated from McCutcheon High School.

Scott became a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 20 in 1986. He served his Apprenticeship from December 1986 to 1990, when he became a Journeyman in December 1990. He has served on the Wage Setting Committee as well as the Picnic Committee.

Darrell was re-elected to the Executive Board of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union No. 20 effective July 2013. He also served on the Executive Board from 2004 through 2010. He has been a member of Local 20 since April 1986, serving his apprenticeship from May 1987 thru 1991 when he became a Journeyman.

Darrell has served on several steering committees for the Fort Wayne negotiating team in 2002, 2005 and 2008. He has also served on the Ft. Wayne area Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee since 1991.

Charles P. Williams

Executive Board – Gary

Charles P. Williams (Chuck) is currently serving as Executive Board Member, Gary Area, after serving two terms as Trustee. Chuck was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. He is married to Norma, and they have three daughters, April, Alicia, and Karisa. They also have one grandson, Dakota.

Chuck served his apprenticeship from July 1987 to August 1991 at which time he became a Journeyman. He attended Ivy Tech College for four years. Chuck served on the Contract Negotiating Steering Committee for the 1996 and 1999 Indianapolis Area Contract. In Chuck’s second year of his apprenticeship he won 2nd place at the Regional Contest.

Brian D. Clawson

Executive Board – Lafayette

Brian was elected as Trustee for Local 20 in 2010.

He was born in Lafayette, Indiana and graduated from Frontier Jr/Sr High School in 2000. He became a member of Sheet metal Workers Local Union No. 20, and completed his 5-year Apprenticeship Program in June of 2005, whenhe was sworn in as a Journeyman.

He has served on the 2011 Lafayette Area Steering Committee for contract negotiations, as well as on the Negotiating team. He has been on the Lafayette Apprenticeship Board from 2012 to Present.

Gary A. Pierson

Political Director, Indianapolis, Area

Gary A. Pierson, Political Director of the Indianapolis Area, was born on in Beech Grove, Indiana. He has two children, Brian and Melinda.

After graduating from Beech Grove High School in 1972, Gary began his apprenticeship, and was sworn in as a Journeyman in September 1976.

He was elected as Warden in June 1982 and held that position until being elected as Business Representative in August 1987. Since that time, Gary has attended several classes at IUPUI and has served on the following committees: FAIR, Hoosier Alliance for Consumer Rights, Jobs for Justice, Taxpayers for a Better Indiana, Indiana Health Care Campaign, State EAP, COMET, Muncie Building Trades Softball Tournament, Labor Fest, Labor Night at Bush Stadium, Citizen’s Action Coalition and School-To-Work.

Business Representative, Indianapolis/Lafayette Area

Trent L. Todd was appointed as Business Representative effective March 10, 2007, and served as Organizer of SMW Local #20 from September 10, 2005 through March 9, 2007.

Trent was born in Bedford , Indiana. He and his wife Erin have two children, Grant and Graycen. Trent is a graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School, and has attended Vincennes University and Ivy Tech State College.

Shawn D. Reels

Business Representative, Indianapolis/Lafayette Area

Shawn was elected as Indianapolis/Lafayette Business Representative on Thursday, May 10, 2018. He has been a member of SMART Local Union No. 20 since 1991, serving his Apprenticeship from September 1994 to 1999.

Chad was born in Muncie, Indiana and attended Madison Heights High School, as well as Ivy Technical Institute for college.

Todd M. Duncan

Business Representative, Indianapolis/Lafayette Area

Todd was elected as President of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union No. 20 effective July 13, 2013. He has been a member of Local 20 since November 1980. Todd served his Apprenticeship from July 1986 thru 1990, when he became a Journeyman in August, 1990. He has served on numerous contractnegotiation steering committees.

Eric L. Wagemann

Business Representative, Evansville Area

Eric L. Wagemann was elected as Business Representative of SMART Local Union No. 20 on May 1, 2017, and was sworn into this position on May 13, 2017.

Eric was born in Evansville and attended Castle High School in Newburgh, Indiana, as well as Ivy Technical Institute – Class of 2004.

He became a member of SMART Local Union No. 20 in 1997, serving his Apprenticeship from June 1999 to June 2004 when he was sworn in as a Journeyman.

John M. Wright

Business Representative, Evansville Area

John M. Wright was elected as Business Representative for the Evansville area effective July 13, 2013. He served as an appointed Organizer for Local 20 out of the Evansville Area from June 20, 2011 until his election to Business Representative. John graduated from Wellington High School and Ivy Tech State College.

John became a member of Sheet Metal Workers in 1999, serving his Apprenticeship from June 2001 through September 2006. He received his Certificate in Health Plan Navigation from the International Foundation.

Darryl E. Esterline

Business Representative, Fort Wayne Area

Darryl was elected as Business Representative of the Fort Wayne Area effective Saturday, July 13, 2013. He became a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union No. 20 in 1988, serving his Apprenticeship from September 1990 to 1993.

Darryl was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Northrop High School in 1988. He received an associate degree from Seattle Community College.

Kevin J. Needham

Executive Board – South Bend

Kevin J. Needham was elected as Executive Board Member for the South Bend area in July 2007.

Kevin was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, where he attended Coloma High School. He is married to Nicole and they have two children.

Kevin became a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local No. 20 in March, 1994, serving his apprenticeship from August 1995 to July 2000. Kevin became a Journeyman in 2000. He served on the South Bend Contract Negotiations Steering Committee in 2006, as well as the Apprenticeship Board from 2004 to present. Kevin has been the delegate for the Southwest Michigan AFL-CIO since January 2007.

Shaun L. Reinoehl

Business Representative – Terre Haute

Shaun L. Reinoehl, was appointed as Marketing Representative for the Terre Haute Area effective August 1, 2015. He continues to serve on the Executive Board Member of the Terre Haute area. Shaun born in Brazil, Indiana. He is married to Carla, and they have three children, Ethan, Ellie and Jared. He attended Van Buren High School, and has completed two years of education from Indiana State University.

Shaun served his apprenticeship from August 1990 to 1995. He has been an Executive Board Member from August 2000 to present. He has also received Union Certificates in TABB Technician and TABB Supervisory Certification.

Jeffrey A. Hamilton

Business Representative, Gary Area

Jeffrey Hamilton was born in Valparaiso, Indiana and attended Portage High School. He and his wife Ann have two children, Matthew and Stephanie.

Jeff is currently the Business Representative for the Gary Area. He has also been Trustee of the Gary Area Pension Fund since 2013 and Health and Welfare Trustee since 2015. In addition, Jeff is Trustee for Northwest Indiana Building Trades where he has been President since 2016. He is also Trustee and President of the LaPorte, Starke and Pulaski Building Trades.

Kreg R. Homoky was elected as Business Representative for SMART Local Union No. 20 in the Gary area on August 14, 2017, and was sworn into this position on September 9, 2017.

Kreg was born in Merrilville, Indiana and attended Hobart High School and Ivy Technical Institute. He became a member of SMART Local UnionNo. 20 in 2002, serving his Apprenticeship from August 2003 to June 2008, when he became a Journeyman.

Kevin L. Pruitt is currently the Warden for SMART Local Union No. 20.

He was born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky and attended Tomkinsville High School, where he attended Monroe County Vocational School for Welding. He has 4 children, and one in the Sheet Metal trade.

Kevin became a member of SMART Local Union No. 20 in 1985, serving his apprenticeship from August 1988 to August 1993, when he became a Journeyman. He also currently serves on the Funds Committee.
